November

November starts the dry season here in Florida and so far the weather is beautiful. Much cooler and definitely dry. Normally I would be worried about how much extra water it will take to keep the garden alive but this year we only planted a few tomatoes and only one egg plant.

What we did plant is growing like crazy! Lot's of little tomatoes and a few bigger ones. Even the egg plant is loaded with flowers.

Can't wait for Husband to make eggplant Parmesan with all fresh ingredients.

Father's Day

I snapped this picture of an egg plant flower yesterday just before it got dark. Just after this we lost electricity in the whole area. Every one started going outside and riding around in cars it was weird. But it was too hot just to sit in the house with out air conditioning. The power was out for over an hour. The sun set and we started a little camp fire in the back yard. Then the lights came back on.

Today

Chris had a good father's day. We stopped by Mom's picked her up and went out to eat at Pier 16 in Orange City. The food was pretty good. Everyone enjoyed it. I had flounder, Chris had grouper, Veronica had the gator and Erica had shrimp scampi, Mom had the pop corn shrimp and Karen had Chicken. It was the first time Veronica ever ate gator. They served it battered and deep fried. She said it was delicious. Most people say it taste like chicken but I always thought it taste more like fried clams.
