Gardening In the sand.

I had gave up on the broccoli but then one popped up. :)

I think this is a yellow tomato variety.

Reese's loves to help water the garden in the morning.

Yep, mostly we've got tomatoes.

One big yellow squash.

Ok we have two.

I think this is a zucchini. Or another cucumber.

This is a zucchini for sure our cucumbers look like round balls.

Ok three yellow squash.

And here is the round ball cucumber the size of a golf ball.

This got picked and ate already. Mmm... Pepper.
These are good bells
This was a different kind of bell pepper but we ate it too.

I've got a bumper crop of banana peppers. We are going to make a stuffing with them.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my sad little garden. I'm planning a fall garden now.

Relaxing four day weekend. Not!

Started out with my tankless hot water tank dieing. We ended up having to call an electrician so I could cash in on the 10 year warranty, but he couldn't really do anything because the hot water tank people were out until Tuesday. Called them today, Tuesday, and told them what the electrician had said to say and they were like he has to talk to us he has to check it while our technician talks to him over the phone. To protect us. Like I'm going to try and scam them out of some hot water tank parts or something.

Then we had had a bad storm that knocked the electricity out and messed up the computer. It went to safe mode, then when I finally got it out of that, it was saying anything with a lock next to it had a certificate that was out of date and it blocked them. Finally after spending most of the day trying to fix it. Sunday, I read that it was the server being out of sink. But... I couldn't call them till Tuesday cause they were out from the holiday too. It fixed on it's own on Tuesday so... I didn't have to call about that.

Memorial Day was a lot of fun. We crashed my Aunt's pool and had a little bar-b-Que with her. Lot of fun.
Aunt's pool
Turns out my Aunt makes the best bar-b-Que sauce ever. But she wont share that darn recipe for nothin'. Dang it! It was good on everything too.
Shisha bobs. Lot's of veggies plus, pork, beef and chicken.
Well, tomorrow is the last day of my holiday and I'm going to the dentist. Yuck! I hope they can replace the temporary crown with a permanent one with out breaking it like they did the temporary one.Or I'll be looking for yet another dentist. And then when I'm done with that... I'll be waiting for an electrician to come over and tell those people to send me a new tank!!!!!!!

White moth.

This white moth flew in when I let Reese's out in the morning. It was really pretty so I took pictures.

Don't you just want to pet it's fuzzy little head.

Garden shots.

The Newest Plant in the yard!!

It's called a butterfly bush. I love butterflies!
While at the hardware store I always look at the garden section for discounted plants. And I found this butterfly bush. A little old man was standing there and said he has one in his yard and they look great all year and get pretty big and bushy. That's perfect for a yard with nothing in it right. Well let's see how green our thumbs are. Chris planted it and it kinda blends in with the grass in the picture. I think he picked a good spot for it, right near the deck.
It has the most beautiful flowers.
 Garden Time!

Our tomatoes are growing great. They love the sandy soil and sunshine.

This is an eggplant. It's a variety I've never tried. Looks like we're going to get at least one anyway.
This is suppose to be a cucumber.

This is our other cucumber. Some one told me they are suppose to be a vine. Maybe next year I'll have a fence for them.

Bell peppers are doing great.

We finally got a squash. I think the ants or some other bug was taking off with the flowers right after they bloomed. So this makes us happy.

I think we were too late for broccoli. They don't look so good. We'll try them again in the fall.

Traditional egg plant flowers.

Banana pepper. Garden doesn't look so great from this angle.

 More peppers.

This is my container garden. They are still alive. They've been in there now for a while.

Even though the cold hit hard last year the fig tree made a come back and we already have some figs.
I may not have the best gardening skills in the world but I'm learning and fresh veggies actually do taste a lot better. So... I'm not going to give up. Hopefully, some day, one plant at a time, my yard will be a lush garden that people will want to actually look at instead of a little patch in a sea of grass.
