The French Quarter

First thing we noticed was a sea of tall buildings. Something we don't have in rural central Florida. Down town New Orleans was amazing!

Ladies drinking mimosas at 8:00am from a roof top balcony.

Still drinking down and dirty at 8:00am. Party on old guys!

Real New Orleans Voo Doo shop!

Hippie shop!
Jazz spot!

The offical place of Mardi Gras, Bourbon Street!
New Orleans was fabulous! We want to come back and do the whole thing again when we have more time and more money. After leaving down town our luck began to turn. Maybe because we didn't stop in at the Voodoo shop. Or maybe it was just dumb luck.
We ended up behind a truck that was dropping metal elbows all over the road. One flew up and hit our windshield putting a chip in it. By the time we got to Oklahoma it was a foot long crack.
This was also the time my phone started going out. When I got to Oklahoma they said it was something highly unusual and just replaced it with a new one. Strange. Eventually we ended up getting the car replaced too.
